We have traveled for 20 yrs and been in all 50 states and Paradise Point is one of our favorite places to stay. The park is small and private with gated entrance and awesome views of the lake. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

We had a real nice stay for two weeks at Paradise Point RV Park near detour village in upper Michigan Lori and Greg, the owners, were around every day working to update and improve their park and to help with anything you needed. Plenty of room to dock our boat, the boat ramp was easy to put the boat in and out. The RV sites are level, lots of room and a wonderful view of the water and islands. Being a gated park it felt so secure that you could really relax setting around their nice picnic tables and fire rings. Just a few miles away are excellent restaurants if you choose. We will be returning for sure.

OMG what an excellent experience!

We stayed for a week on lot 12. What a view. Full hook up and great on the price. The owners are absolutely great, going out of their way to make sure all is good. Gated park, right on a shipping channel. Beautiful picnic tables. You can not go wrong in this place!

Wonderful small park owned and cared for by a great couple. We had a waterfront site with a really nice view of the bay and freighters going by. Almost every site has a great view of the water. There is a place to launch a boat and park your trailer if you fish. Kayaks can launch from the shore or ramp. There is no bath house, laundry, game courts, playground, or any frills like that but none are needed. The serenity and peacefulness are just what we were looking for. We stayed three days and had plans of taking day trips around the area but the quiet of the park was so nice we never left. Be sure to make a reservation and call ahead for the gate code or you wont get in. Great experience. We will be back again for sure. We camped at Paradise Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

You cannot beat the beauty of this park, and you cannot beat the congeniality of the people who run it. By all means, you must spend a weekend here. Majestic is the only word I can think of to describe this experience

It was a wonderful experience. The owners are extremely helpful and work hard to make every visit memorable. The freighters going by was an added bonus. This is a hidden gem. We will go back again.

What a wonderful place to have a quiet restful vacation. All 14 sites have a great view of the bay and are well maintained. The hosts are very gracious and helpful.

Beautiful sites, all have spectacular views of the river, unforgettable sunsets, quiet, tranquil and seeing the ships was an added bonus, I started tracking on a phone app so I knew when they were coming. Full hook ups and great WiFi in a serene setting, I can’t say enough. The owners were so nice and accommodating! We just left and honestly hated leaving. This is for sure a hidden gem!
Thank you for this experience

Just perfect…
Clean, comfotable, beautiful waterfront sites, fantastic owners/managers who are a wealth of knowledge of local attractions!

Read what others wrote and then double the stars and don’t treat the reviews as “fake news”. Excellent, well cared for place. A bit off the road more traveled, but that’s a large part of the appeal.

Words can truly not describe this place. Sit on the swing and watch the big ships pass by on the St. Mary’s River, sit by the fire and watch the sunset while listening to the frogs and other wildlife sing you to sleep. The lots are large and spacious. Bring your kayaks or boat for easy access to the St. Mary’s River. The WiFi works great (but you will rarely use it because of the quiet beauty of this place). Already planning our next trip back

It is Paradise!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. It is off the beaten path. Very private setting with great views of the lake, Lime Island, and Canada. Gated entry makes it very secure. Though we were not fishing this place is fisherman’s dream. On site boat ramp and docks. The owners are very nice people that take pride in their RV park.

“Beautiful, restful, super clean campground. Views of the boats on shipping channel. Nice place to watch sunset. Friendly owners. We will go again.”

“I’m almost hesitant to write a good review. We kind of wanted to keep this little piece of “Paradise” in God’s Country all to ourselves and the select few who have discovered it!

We called on a Friday, on a whim, and were given site 13, which is, as the owner described, the least desirable site due to having no nice view. Yet we LOVED this beautiful little park SO much that we returned the following weekend and stayed on site 9. We had nice views of the channel, enjoyed seeing the freighters go by and the gorgeous sunsets from the little pier. The owners are VERY nice, very attentive and obviously care a lot about their guests and their park.

We are heading back that way for the Labor Day holiday. We will bring our fishing rods this time, and will GLADLY recycle our trash. Thank you Lori and Greg!”

It was a fisherman paradise and when I had a motor problem the owner’s did everything they could to help above and beyond. Most nicest people very helpful. Love the campground a piece of paradise. The little towns around for food and restaurants and laundry you lack nothing. Sad to have to leave fell in love with the owner’s there like family God willing we will be back.
